well, if Canada decided to join Russia, the USA would definitely stop it. I don't blame them in Russia for getting upset. If the shoe was on the other foot, the USA would take some actions. Look at Cuba and how the US treated them.

The people in the Ukraine, and the Ukraine itself, are not the property of the Russian gov't.
No cry for help went out. Nothing was being done to the people there.
This is just Russia muscling in with a land grab .. and it has to do with gas pipelines.

New troops were sent in. Of course Russia didn't put their flags on the uniforms.
Then they claimed they didnt' send any new troops. It was a huge LIE.
Leasing a small space for troops is a very different thing then owning the entire block of the country.
None of the Russian speaking civilians issued a cry for help.
And if the troops stationed there had a problem, they could have picked up and left.
Instead - Russia uses a manufactured crisis situation as an excuse to invade another country.
As I said ... look to the gas pipelines as for a reason why.
That ... and Putin is KGB and wants the ol' Soviet block back ...

And this the main reason why we are facing the WW prospects today. Russia does not like it's ex-republics joining the NATO. Baltics are an exception.

Russia is very right here in bringing up the issue in a military manner when NATO would not listen to common language. Who is the real Hitler and NAZI here ?

Russia is not backing down or away from Crimea and Eastern section of Ukraine is soon going to get the same effect.

China has the main card here. It should openly support the Russian position and that will put to end all the NATO expansion eastwards.
