I was listening to John B. Wells as he interviewed Jim Marrs... It was a good broadcast and many of the things on ATS were discussed.. One thing that was said, that I was unaware of, is the middle finger gesture, which today is associated with F.U.

Actually the middle finger standing tall came from when the French used to catch an English long bowman. In some cases (when they did not kill him) they would cut that digit off and send him back rendering him unable to shoot his bow. The gesture arouse by the English giving the finger to the French showing they could still shoot; basically saying by hand gesture "come and get it" !

I thought it was a good story and have no idea if it is totally true or just and old bowmans tale... either way there you go...

This is Robert wuhl giving a famous lecture to a college class.
It was televised and called assume the position. He went and explains a lot of the finer points of American history that most people wouldn't think of


He just has a certain way of saying it
