Could you expand a little on your situation.

I find it fascinating. Who broached the subject?

How does it work at tax time?

How does it work at night?

I know those a personal questions. I respect it if you choose not to respond.

Some of us (me) really are curious.

But a 3 way divorce would be messy. And you would end up really broke. ....

I will expand a little.

Who broached the subject: he did. The third party was already a big part of our lives. So honestly it kind of made sense to me. I understand most men think that it's all about the sex, but the additional $ plus the help with daily chores were also a consideration.

At tax time, he and I file as married and she files single. Don't want to upset the almighty IRS, so we thought that would be the best way to deal with it.

And I am going to decline on the third question.
Let me just say it took some time to find an arrangement that worked for everyone. The biggest issue was making sure everyone had quality time and also personal space.

I hope that satisfied your curiosity. I've actually thought about writing a book about it, but thus far, have not have the time.

Honestly, divorce has not been anything we've been concerned about. It's been 20+ years, my husband is still my best friend and she and I are like sisters (and were before).

Although we are working on our wills to avoid any issues just in case 'the big truck' comes and ends one of us. And that is mainly to make sure that everyone's wishes are fulfilled.

Thanks for your reply.

I have often wondered how this might work.

I appreciate your honesty and looking forward to your book.
