The scariest thing about this world war 3 starting is that we are on the Germans' side. They've never won a world war yet.

Um...I'm also part German...so this to give me a chuckle...the only thing I got left is Irish!

I'll take a stab then... The Irish will all be busy guarding the Guinness brewery in Dublin instead of participating in the real battle, can already count them out.

Lmao!
Sorry I know this is not a time for joking..

In all honesty, since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the expansion of NATO eastward, there really is no reason why Europe should not be in a position now where it could collectively engage Russia.

They;ve had enough time......I know its wishful thinking, but Europe by itself should be able to stand up and take on Russia withut requiring US assistance.

In a perfect world I know.

Good point oh crap in fact they are running this show. The germans are taking the lead on this Angela Merkel speaks Russian and has been in contact with everyone. Funny ususlly its the white house that handles these things. But shes getting the UN in there has been talking with Putin several times she is running the show.

Germany should be at the front of diplomatically solving this, they are the ones that have potentially the most to lose should Russia shut down the supply of gas. A true leader isn't afraid to let those around them have their moment to shine.

Small problem, China is allied with Russia. Europe is not isolated like USA. They could feasibly be invaded.

Edit: So the Chinese numbers would actually count for something... it would be very bloody and drawn out.

So when Russia, Iran and China turn into their own federation and box out Israel and the UK what happens?

I find many aspects of this situation troubling but there is a lingering question that plagues my mind. Why would Russia spend $50 billion to show a new Russia at the Olympics and then go and do this? It does not make much sense to me.

Say what you will about George W Bush, but he wouldn't have stood for Russian aggression in Ukraine.

He'd have invaded New Zealand by now

China has the money too. So even if they lack the ships...somehow I see them coming by other means if they choose. But not before grabbing up islands nearby to pull the u.s. apart farther militarily to draw us off.

I'm not sure, but it seems China doesn't possess a Navy huge enough to make effective land invasions. As for Russia... they could indeed invade Europe quickly, but that's not their style neither their agenda. I think.

I previously asked for evidence of Russia's (or Putin's) imperialist ambitions for Europe and elsewhere. No one answered on that. It'd be actually very stupid, useless and counterproductive on Russia's part to do such a blitzkrieg. And why?

On the other hand, people like Brezinski and his aides have been setting something up for quite a while.

With World War 3 impending, I am already confused....Who is on our side and who we are fighting against?.

I tried asking all my neighbors, but all I got was "Not yours", something in Chinese, and "Death to infidels??".

Chinese soldiers could march straight across Russia (avoiding India for the time) and invade Europe. You don't need ships on land... Their numbers are #ing incredible!

Because Sochi does not have gas resources or a naval port leading out of the black sea and out to the med. So there is a lot for them at stake.
The last line is Turkey. If Turkey closes the through way to the Mediterranean..then it spell trouble for Russia..

I wasn't aware America had designed a defence against drop bears. Surely Australia would have the advantage if there were a war and would be able to keep New Zealand in their sphere of influence.

I believe you need to consult a map. Turkey could close off the med regardless of whether they have a base in Ukraine.

I don't think China is a real problem. They aren't really a huge or imminent military threat. They are heavily dependent on both the US and Europe for their economic survival. A shooting war that pushes Russia back into it's borders and ends there pretty much should keep China on the sidelines.

Keep in mind even in Korea, China pretty much stayed out of it until we got too close to their border. And while yes China has huge numbers, but for those numbers to matter even if they had the inclination to get involved which I doubt. They still have to move those numbers and they have to move them undetected and also keep them supplied and fed.

Would I want to fight a war invading China? No that would be a bit retarded. Is China really strong enough to fight an offensive conflict an extended distance from their own borders? No in that way they are really a paper tiger.
