I agree theyll move to guerrilla tactics but it also hurts there narrative there trying to convince the world there a majority. Using guerrilla tactics shows they are indeed a minority group and easier to brand them terrorists. So it just adds to the theory thats its Russian spc ops making Russias actions all the more suspect. Russia is going to lose the information war if this continues because there story will become less tenable.

after referendum a few days ago.
Notice that Lugansk and Donetsk region will be named a Federal Republic of New Russia (Novorossiya).
Not sure how is all this going to work but there is a long way ahead.

PROTECTION OF SOVEREIGNTY AND ORGANIZATION OF STATE

MANAGEMENT Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republic

Following the referendum, 05.11.2014 and the announcement of its results in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions Coordinating Council Public Movement "South-East" considers it necessary to bring together all the organizations belonging to the association, all the inhabitants of the regions to protect the will of the citizens. To do this, we consider it necessary in the near future, the following actions:

In the political sphere:

1.1. The adoption of the Declaration of Independence, acts of Donetsk and Lugansk National Republic (hereinafter - the DNI and LC).

1.5. Appeal to Russia and Belarus for the acceptance of the Union State, as well as in Kazakhstan for the acceptance of a single customs territory.

1.6. Statements about the unacceptability of the DNI and LC participation in Association with the EU.

1.7. Appeal to Russia and other states - members of the UN Security Council and the OSCE to demand sanctions against Kiev junta to end the genocide of the people of DNR and LC.

1.8. Appeal to Parliament demanding an end to punitive operation and withdraw the armed forces and the Ministry of Defense Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with the territory of the DNI and LC.

1.9. Appeal to the brotherly people of Russia with a request for comprehensive assistance in confronting the fascist aggression.

2. In nation-building must be done:

2.1. Adoption acts of the Declaration of Independence and the DNI LC

2.2. Create parliaments LC and DNR.

2.3. Formation of Government decision parliaments full DNR and LC within ministries of defense, security, internal affairs, foreign affairs, finance, tax, economics and trade, health, education, agriculture, as well as border, customs, veterinary, sanitary services. Appointment of the Attorney General and the formation of the Supreme Courts. Closure of the Ukrainian authorities, acting on the territory of the DNI and LC.

2.4. Announcement borders DNR and LC state border. Reassignment of checkpoints on the Russian-Ukrainian border and appropriate services DNR LC.

2.5. Proposal Defense Ministry and Interior Ministry troops of Ukraine during the day to take the oath of allegiance to the DNI and LC or write a letter of resignation, to surrender their weapons and leave the territory.

2.6. Announcement illegal armed groups in the territory of the DNI and LC without their permission. Qualifying action Ukrainian armed forces as military aggression to destroy the people of Donetsk and Lugansk republics (genocide). Ultimatum Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and personally to each head of a military formation of the termination of the invasion, the immediate cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal period in the daily troops from the DNR and LC (except voluntarily clicked under their command). 3. In the economic sphere.

3.1. Transfer of all tax revenues at the disposal of Finance and Treasury of DNR and LC to finance the approved budget commitments.

3.2. Confirmation of free trade and visa-free regime with Russia and other CIS states.

3.3. Waiver of customs control on the border with Russia.

3.4. Appeal to Russia opening of representative offices of the Veterinary Service for the purpose of veterinary and phytosanitary control of goods produced for export to the territory of the customs union.

3.5. Authorize the use of the ruble as a fully fledged currency along with the hryvnia. Provision of Russian credit institutions and insurance companies to open branches rights. Giving a Russian bank status agent of the Government to service its accounts and conducting fiscal settlements in rubles. Acquisition of this bank all branches of subsidiaries Russian state-owned banks are not willing to work under the new jurisdiction.

3.6. The nationalization of the property of the Ukrainian state.

3.7. Sanctions (freezing accounts and assets, ban on entry) against persons suspected of crimes against the people of the DNI and LC. Appointment of interim managers to the company owned by them. Treatment of current income from the use of this property in the budgets of the republics.

3.8. Deciding on non-discrimination in the Russian goods supplied to domestic, including public procurement and procurement of public corporations.

3.9. A ban on shale gas.

4. In the area of ​​federal-state:

4.1. Conclusion federal agreement between the DNR and LC adoption of the Constitution of New Russia, providing for the establishment of federal authorities.

4.2. Conduct of elections of the President and the Parliament of New Russia. According to their results - the creation of a federal government, the creation of the unified armed forces, law enforcement and fiscal system.

The MRE is a given and nothing new since the US already stated we were sending them to Ukraine. As far as anything marked US it should not be assumed that it came from the US. Israel would be a perfect example of acquiring US items only to turn around and sell them the other nations.

As for the article I agree with you. Its a review of all the accusations / counter accusations with nothing to substantiate some of the claims.

I was reading this article and it was talking about how Ukraine can win this conflict with Russia and i found it interesting because it looks at things entirely different than many articles ive read.

Imagine if U.S. citizens awoke to find their entire navy and majority of their air force gone without a shot fired, seized by special operators posing as "concerned citizen groups." This is the situation confronting Ukraine’s Maidan leadership. 40,000 Russian troops stand poised to invade Eastern Ukraine and conduct a lightening assault towards Kiev. Ukrainian military and police operations to clear roadblocks and occupied buildings in the East continue to stall. Each day new pro-Russian protests break out and "concerned groups" appear with game-changing weapons like surface-to-air missiles. Russia appears to be heeding the age-old Sun Tzu adage to win without fighting.

First, Ukraine needs to go beyond conscription to send a costly signal to Russia about the risks of fighting a protracted conflict in Ukraine. The Ukrainian military should shift from large, conventional formations to small hunter-killer bands with anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons as well as sniper rifles designed to send Russia a clear signal.

Second, Ukraine needs to prepare for defense-in-depth partisan warfare. Better to attrite invading Russian forces and extend their supply lines than seek decisive battles you can’t win along the border. Demonstrating the capacity to knock out weapons the Russians will rely on in a land war, such as tanks and aircraft, sends a costly signal to Moscow.

Third, take an indirect approach to diplomacy. Major NATO nations from the United States to Germany and the United Kingdom are unlikely to risk broader confrontation with Russia over Eastern Ukraine. The same is not true of Romania, Poland and the Baltics. Furthermore, these states, as NATO members, have more influence over Washington and other NATO capitals than Ukraine. In addition, expanding the web of countries criticizing Russia beyond Europe can pay diplomatic dividends. Ukraine needs to reach out to other states that have territorial disputes with powerful neighbors and get them to publicly criticize Russia and join expanding sanctions. This indirect approach also could mobilize countries across the Middle East upset about Russian support for the Syrian regime.

Fourth, take the fight to Moscow. Putin is an autocrat who increasingly polarizes the Russian population. It was not that long ago that mass protests hit the Russian capital and groups like Pussy Riot braved arrest to challenge the Kremlin. Ukraine needs to use encrypted websites and social media to get its message out to Russians. The message needs to be clear and targeted to younger generations: Putin is trying to rebuild a police state much like the Soviet Union. No one’s freedom is safe. The same message needs to ripple through Belarus and Central Asia.

Guerrilla warfare succeeds where the local area is hostile to the aggressor. In Eastern Ukraine, the local area will be pro-Russian so the hunter-killer bands will themselves be hunted and killed..............easily.

Regarding second point of supply lines..........same rebuttal of friendly land. No need for food, clothing, medical items to be hauled from long distances. Even spare parts would be available locally.

Third and Fourth points are useless enough to not be discussed any further.

1 Igla costs $100K, 1 RPG-29 $1000 plus 200 for rockets, 1 Sniper rifle around $10K each.

So $10M for Igla gets 1000 missiles, $5M for RPGs gets 5000 launchers, $5M for sniper rifles gets 500 units

This still leaves $5M on the table ammo and spare parts.

Wonder if Putin to send these to Taliban in Afghanistan to keep Americans ringing in some solid OVERTIME pay.

Mere $25M of investment can be recouped by moving the Russian forces on border just 5-10 miles more............wonder what that will do to the oil prices for few days?

You dont really believe that vote was anything close to reality do you? Several polls mark eastern Ukraine as 70 percent wanting to stay with ukraine so even in eastern Ukraine theyll find large support. But more importantly you really believe there voting numbers were accurate? Go back and watch the counting they did first think youll notice is he ballots in those sealed boxes would have to have been in the 10s of thousands but when you look you can see where talking in the hundreds. In one station i watched on RT they had 4 woman working and verifying the voters. Funny part is they would have needed at least 50 people to handle the number of voters they would have had to process. Because instead of taking 3 min they would have to have pushed it through in seconds. See math shows what a farse the actually elections were unless somehow they found a way to stop time in eastern ukraine. Only a small fraction of actual voters even bothered to vote.

But het you buy into anything Putin says even if it requires time machines such as counting and verifying millions of votes in an hour and a half. You cant even do that in countries with electric voting machines. So those poll workers are just amazing defying laws of physics in there superhuman feats.

Think you might want to reread the article i posted you seem not to understand it. Basically Russia is vulnerable to unconventional warfare.
