Anniversary of the birth of Stepan Bandera.
Under the militant leadership of Stepan Bandera in World War II, the ultra-nationalists organized the Ukrainian Waffen SS Galician, Nichtengall, and Roland Divisions that collaborated with the Nazis and were responsible for the genocide of over 500,000 people.

There are minor neo-nazi groups and fans in lot of countries, but what we see here is 15,000 marching through the capital city of Ukraine marking birth anniversary of the man who organized SS Galician division. This happened in the middle of Maidan protests, January 2014.

No attack on the character of supposedly 'neo-nazi' Ukrainian political elements nor their Western supporters changes the deeds or character of the current Kremlin dictator.

Without any critical examination of Russia's politics, we reveal ourselves to be Putin's ideological pawns.

Russian / Soviet genocides

The Russian Tsarist Empire waged war against Circassia in the Northwest Caucasus for more than one hundred years, trying to replace Circassia's hold along the Black Sea coast. After a century of insurgency and war and failure to end the conflict, the Tsar ordered the expulsion of most of the Muslim population of the North Caucasus. Many Circassians, Western historians, Turks and Chechens claimed that the events of the 1860s constituted one of the first modern genocides, in that a whole population was eliminated to satisfy the desires (in this case economic) of a powerful country.[citation needed]

Antero Leitzinger flagged the affair as the 19th century's largest genocide.[120] Approximately 1-1.5 million Circassians were killed and most of the Muslim population was deported. Ossete Muslims and Kabardins generally did not leave. The modern Circassians and Abazins descend from those who managed to escape the onslaught and later returned another 1.5 million Circassians and others. This effectively annihilated (or deported) 90% of the nation.[121] Tsarist documents recorded more than 400,000 Circassians killed, 497,000 forced to flee and only 80,000 were left in their native area.[122] Circassians were viewed as tools by the Ottoman government, and settled in restive areas whose populations had nationalist yearnings- Armenia, the Arab regions and the Balkans. Many more Circassians were killed by the policies of the Balkan states, primarily Serbia and Bulgaria, which became independent at that time.[citation needed] Still more Circassians were forcefully assimilated by nationalist Muslim states (Turkey, Syria, Iraq, etc.) who looked upon non-Turk/Arab ethnicity as a foreign presence and a threat.

In May 1994, the then Russian President Boris Yeltsin admitted that resistance to the tsarist forces was legitimate, but he did not recognize "the guilt of the tsarist government for the genocide."[122] In 1997 and 1998, the leaders of Kabardino-Balkaria and of Adygea sent appeals to the Duma to reconsider the situation and to apologize, without response. In October 2006, the Adygeyan public organizations of Russia, Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Syria, the USA, Belgium, Canada and Germany sent the president of the European Parliament a letter with a request to recognize the genocide.[citation needed]

On 5 July 2005 the Circassian Congress, an organisation that unites representatives of the various Circassian peoples in the Russian Federation, called on Moscow to acknowledge and apologize for the genocide.[123]

Multiple documented instances of unnatural mass death occurred in the Soviet Union. These include Union-wide famines in the early 1920s and early 1930s and deportations of ethnic minorities.

Soviet diplomatic efforts removed the extermination of political groups from the United Nations Convention on Genocide. This left many of the Soviet atrocities outside the United Nations definition of genocide, because the atrocities targeted political or economic groups rather than the ethnic, racial, religious, or national groups listed in the UN convention.

Passers-by ignore corpses of starved peasants on a street in Kharkiv, 1933.
During the Soviet famine of 1932–33 that affected Ukraine, Kazakhstan and some densely populated regions of Russia, the scale of death in Ukraine is referred to as the Holodomor and is recognized as genocide by the governments of Australia, Argentina, Georgia, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Lithuania, Poland, the USA and Hungary. The famine was caused by the confiscation of the whole 1933 harvest in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the Kuban (a densely populated Ukrainian region), and some other parts of the Soviet Union, leaving the peasants too little to feed themselves. As a result, an estimated ten million died, including over seven million in Ukraine, one million in the North Caucasus and one million elsewhere.[152] American historian Timothy Snyder wrote of "3.3 million Soviet citizens (mostly Ukrainians) deliberately starved by their own government in Soviet Ukraine in 1932–1933"[153]

In addition to the requisitioning of crops in Ukraine, all food was confiscated by Soviet authorities. Any and all aid and food was prohibited from entering the Ukrainian republic. Ukraine's Yuschenko administration recognised the Holodomor as an act of genocide and pushed international governments to acknowledge this.[154] This move was opposed by the Russian government and some Russophile members of the Ukrainian parliament. A Ukrainian court found Joseph Stalin, Vyacheslav Molotov, Lazar Kaganovich, Stanislav Kosior, Pavel Postyshev, Vlas Chubar and Mendel Khatayevich guilty of genocide on 13 January 2010.[155][156] As of 2010, the Russian government's official position was that the famine took place, but was not an ethnic genocide;[154] former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych supported this position.[157][158] A ruling of January 13, 2010 by Kyiv's Court of Appeal declared the Soviet leaders guilty of 'genocide against the Ukrainian national group in 1932–33 through the artificial creation of living conditions intended for its partial physical destruction.'"[159]

An interesting article with more macro view of Putin's possible motives

echo.msk.ru...

Putin’s approach to Ukraine has been both “consistent and logical at every stage,” Piontkovsky continues. He saw what was happening in the Maidan as representing the possibility that Ukraine would escape “the chains of the post-communist thieving regimes … and move toward the European model of economic and political competition.”

In Putin’s view, such a development could eventually infect Russia as well and consequently it had to be “liquidated in its cradle” through the defeat of the Ukrainian revolution and the discrediting of that revolution in the eyes of the Russian people. Those goals were clearly in evidence in the Kremlin leader’s March 18 speech.

Ukraine has lost the information war RUSSIA because democratic, "Nemtsov

Today, in 04:48

"Commander In Chief"

Russian opposition politician Boris Nemtsov believes that Ukraine has lost the information war, but that's no reason to be sad. As a democratic country cannot win in the information war.

The politician told that most Russians genuinely supported the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin as they zazombirovannye by the MEDIA.

"Putin he navret, not much will. He's always lying. He believes that the Russian people deserve to be cheated, "he said.

Nemtsov noted that most Russians zazombirovannye.

When Stalin died, people were crying, for zazombirovannye. I do not want to compare Putin and Stalin, it's different personalities and thieves of various scales. But, if we talk about brain washing, Putin is a great leader in this sense. Against the Russians is a powerful information war. And this information is it terror and at all levels. This informational expansion is difficult to resist, especially people who are far enough from the politics, "said Russian opposition.

The politician noted that most Russian citizens get their information from television that fully controlled by Vladimir Putin.

"Two-thirds of Russian citizens get their information from television, and TV works as" der′momet ". In the minds of people an upside-down picture of the world: Ukraine-the fascists in Kiev bandits everywhere Banderas and židobanderovcy, Russia struggles against fascism. This terrible picture that resembles a sketch of the crazy House, a picture that has paralyzed the brain to millions of Russians, "said Nemtsov.

He added that independent media in Russia.

"So the 80% support Putin's actions are true. He totally controls all MEDIA and it's not just television, but also newspapers, Internet resources. Independent information people can only get if they sit in social networks, listen to the "echo of Moscow" and watching TV rain, said the Russian politician.

And here is by far one of the most important articles about Euromaidan written by a Ukrainian journalist before the Crimean crisis. It underlines a huge misconception in the West, that this is about allegiance to the USA or EU.

www.businessinsider.com...

People are fighting for their rights, not for EU membership.

Protests in Ukraine are not pro-EU (as it is written in most of international news agencies). The disruption of the association agreement with the European Union in November was only cause for local rallies. But after a peaceful student protest was violently dispersed by the 'Berkut' [special police] in Kyiv on Nov. 30, a million angry people took to the central square of the capital. Since then rebellion has not gone away; instead it turned into an anti-government uprising demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister, and also the resignation of President Viktor Yanukovych. Most people are tired of total corruption in all spheres of life and the lack of justice and security officials' self-will. The middle class has become an engine of the protest since it suffered harassment from the tax agencies. Now the protest has joined with the radicals, who actually began violent confrontation on Sunday, tired of waiting for action from the liberal opposition. However, they have support among the majority of protesters.

Oddly by your theory its Russia that promoted NAZIS since they worked with Kiev. They gave them money and support the only difference between the government Russia supported and this one is Viktor Yanukovych is gone. So Russia has been promoting NAZIs in Ukraine Until i guess the head NAZI was removed from the presidency.See you cant have it both ways you cant claim there NAZIS without acknowledging the fact Russia promoted the Ukrainian government and those people are still in charge. Unless of course your theory is they became NAZIs after the impeachment in which case was this a requirement to impeach? You know in there constitution it states to impeach a president you must swear allegiance to the NAZI party. Im sure several of the communist in Kiev wouldnt have liked that clause to much.

But heres a challenge for you please show me the elected officials in Kiev that are NAZIs all you can do is show a group walking the streets and you somehow want us tobelieve they run anything other than that street. I can show you multiple videos of NAZIs walking around Russia beating people up and terrorizing people does that mean by your logic we should assume therein control of the Kremlin. Or does it make more sense to say they are a small vocal group thats prone to violence. Id like to think the Kremlin isnt NAZIs so im going to go with small vocal groups.

PS 15000 people is nothing we get 70000 people in a football game. we get 15000 in a mall this is a fraction of the total population.

Cyprus warns economic sanctions against Russia will destroy its economy

Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides told a German newspaper Wednesday that economic sanctions against Russia by Europe would destroy the Cypriot economy, adding that every EU state should decide separately whether they want to cut ties with Moscow.

“There are very strong economic ties between Cyprus and Russia. If sanctions are really necessary, then every member state should decide for itself whether to take part. However the measures look, we must not harm ourselves,” Kasoulides told Die Welt.

So this now makes 3 EU countries against more sanctions. . . EU not so solidified on the 'same' agenda.

It just shows the level of dictatorships in EU. Unfortunately those small countries like Cyprus, Greece, Slovakia are the victims.
Slovakia said the other day that they do not want to revers gas flow to Ukraine as it might jeopardize relationship with Russia and today I read that EU is pushing them to sign and agreement with Ukraine for gas reverse.
Also there is now a lot of pressure on Serbia who is a candidate for EU. Serbia has agreement with Russia in regards to South Stream pipe and EU is doing now everything to make it not happen, blackmailing Serbian government, etc.
EU is nothing more than dictatorship. If they can only get rid of US influence which is making more harm than good to EU, I think things would be much better for everyone.

Apologies for the delayed response.

Yes, you're absolutely correct. US gov't and it's cronies don't care if they collapse several economies & screw over those citizens. The problem that US is having in further sanctions is that they're "boxed in" right now.

Check out this link, it EXPLAINS why the blackmailing & strong arm tactics are being used in order to "try" to get other EU govt's to join. When in essence they're ALL deeply intertwined w/ Russia.

Five Reasons Obama Won't Push Harsher Russia Sanctions—Yet
