A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Americans were wearing the uniforms of Sokol, a Ukrainian police force, and were “of particular concern.”

The only time someone says "it is clear" is when they are telling porkies for general consumption. Kerry in particular has a habit of telling porkies... goes back many decades. "It is clear" is not a substitute for "there is proof" it's more likely a substitute for "We don't fecking know" but they won't say that, so just lie.

The Ukrainian Security Service said Tuesday that "separatists" have the hostages inside a security service branch in Luhansk and are threatening them with arms and explosives. There was no word on the identities of the hostages. Ukraine says the building was seized Sunday by armed pro-Russian protesters.

That is like saying the US have a right to act like world police just because they helped Europe winn over Germany in WW2. Every american use that as justification for the US government agressive action against third world nations.

if there is actually a hostage situation that will still be FSB creating unrest in the region.

Ukraine is not in a position to gain anything because of it's own actions, I just hope Ukraine's response will not put them into position to loose everything.

Ukraine is not in a position to gain anything because of it's own actions, I just hope Ukraine's response will not put them into position to loose everything.

I agree, without outside intervention, the Ukraine has already lost. Putin set up and played this out perfectly.
