How about LATVIA, each year they Celebrate Nazi anniversaries and BAN Russian Veteran Soldiers from entering their city in Russian Military uniforms. The reason the Russian Vet's visit Latvia, is to pay homage to their lost comrades who were killed Fighting (and Defeating) Nazi's during WW11. Latvia, Koldova, Ukraine, please Prof T - explain how they fought 'Against' Nazi'z during WW2?... Nazi'sF,ascist, UPN they are all wrong, so too are the scum like Golden Dawn in Greece Renden, PLEASE ACCEPT ONE STAR OF SUPPORT,,,

No Nazi anniversaries are celebrated in Latvia.

Russian soldiers might have fought Nazis on Latvian territory and defeated them. That still does not justify the 47 years of occupation after that, deporting thousands of Latvians to Siberian camps, forcing people to exile, executing them etc. They defeated the nazis and brought nearly 50 years of occupation to this nation... From one dictator to another.

The independence of the Baltic Nations should have been restored after beating the Nazis, instead Soviet Union decided to occupy these nations against their will. That is the reason the Russian vets are not allowed to enter the Latvian cities in Russian Military uniforms. The 50-year occupation, 50 years of oppression against these small nations, is something that is not forgotten.

"divide and conquer"...
Ukraine is divided.

the video also shows how nice are the members of far right party "Svoboda"

Petro Symonenko, the head of the Communist party, told lawmakers that their own actions in bringing down the government of President Viktor Yanukovych had set the precedent for what was now occuring. Angered radical nationalist lawmakers rushed the podium where Symonenko was speaking, resulting in a brawl involving several people.

if they beat a political opponent in the parliament because he accuses them of "doing everything to scare people, arrest and argue with those who have different opinion" than them then what they do to the regular people if they dare to speak up?

ah yeah, they are doing something like this or worse:

(but don't worry, they are the good guys while the Russians in the East and South of Ukraine are pure evil, kids of Satan...)

Might be a typo here, the twitter handler may have wanted to use government forces instead of pro Kremlin.

This will make relations between Russia and The West even colder.

John Kerry should have finished that comment with brutal honesty, and said: It is also clear that we in the west have no intentions of doing a damned thing about it. Ukraine is on their own. This is a regional issue between the Russians and Ukrainians. Putin frightens me even more than my wife ever did.

Either that or the Black Sea is now closed to Russian shipping.

@SkyNewsBreak: Sec of State John Kerry says U.S. willing to impose more "tough" sanctions on Russia over #Ukraine - energy, mining and banking on the table
I would urge people to read his full statement. It does contain some pretty strong wording but no red lines.

The problem with the threat of sanctions is that they only embolden the Russians. They have no other effect on them. The best case for the west is that Putin ends his conquests satisfied that he has eliminated western influence in the Ukraine and doesn't have plans to move on to Poland next, and/or other former soviet states.

Why threaten them in a way that will only embolden them?

Let Putin have his victory and hope that diplomacy can contain it there. That is the best the west can hope to accomplish now.

As much as I understand diplomacy and politics are both extremely important there does have to be tougher action taken when a country decides to invade another when it is unjustifiable and illegal. What Russia has done and continues to do goes against numerous treaties, international law, the UN Charter and The Vienna Document. When the US took military action off the table it automatically placed them and NATO on the back foot. I just wish senior politicians would be stronger with their wording and actually get on TV and address Vladimir Putin direct.

This has just been confirmed by the Ukrainian Security Service according to Sky News. So this pretty much confirms that Russia is officially invading the South East of Ukraine given the term "Russian Agents" is being used. I wonder how Ukraine's Special Forces will deal with this.

Well NATO did the same thing by expelling Russian relations within NATO. That to is agaisnt the EU charter and the Vianna Document. Which state that NATO and Russian goals must be to work together as a team to resolve issues. NATO does noe resolve any issues by expelling Russia. It is just expanding the problem into a New Dimension of complications.

It would only serve to raise his ire for the west, and western influence in the region. One must be careful not to provoke an extremely powerful madman, if he feels threatened, isolated and desperate his options become much more dangerous.

Making it personal with Vlad would be a very bad move... IMO
