While the flare up of Cold War 2.0 may seem like last week's news, overnight something very notable happened that so far virtually nobody appears to have paid attention to. According to Russian Kommersant, none other than the biggest US bank, JPMorgan, was reported to be "reviewing counterpart relations with all Russian lenders" citing unidentified people.
Because what JPM may have just done is launch a preemptive strike which would have the equivalent culmination of a SWIFT blockade of Russia, the same way Iran was neutralized from the Petrodollar and was promptly forced to begin transacting in Rubles, Yuan and, of course, gold in exchange for goods and services either imported or exported.
Wait, did JPM just take a unilateral action, not mandated by the state department (because nowhere in the Russian sanction list does it say putting a freeze on Russian bank transfers), and refuse to process a simple money transfer? Why?
One wonders: is JPM truly that intent in preserving its "pristine" reputation of not transacting with "evil Russians", that it will gladly light the fuse that takes away Russia's choice whether or not to depart the petrodollar voluntarily, and makes it a compulsory outcome, which incidentally will merely accelerate the formalization of the Eurasian axis of China, Russia and India.

Russia want some form of armed conflict. At the moment they appear to be doing all they can to get Ukraine to react to their provocations including sending government puppets into Ukraine to stir up protests and pockets of disorder. Russia can't afford to 'lose' Ukraine in Vladimir Putin's eyes hence he is dictating Adolf Hitler-like military invasions.edit on 1-4-2014 by ProfessorT because: (no reason given)

You mean like the western powers with svoboda and maidan?
Boy you really throw softballs today, so no invasion yet? Was it n ot last week?
Aw the hitler analogy how appropriate...
As Russia warns Ukraine, NATO moves to embrace it
NATO ministers meeting in Brussels Tuesday ordered up plans for beefing up defenses and the Alliance presence in member countries closest to Russia – such as the Baltic states and Poland – that have expressed growing unease over Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
At the same time, they approved a suspension of cooperation with Russia that will affect hundreds of programs, from counterterrorism efforts to civilian air security programs.
Earlier Tuesday Russia left no doubt about its view of closer Ukraine-NATO ties, issuing a statement that largely blamed past Ukrainian flirtations with NATO for the crisis shaking Europe’s post-cold-war order.

The invasion all ready happened i guess they didnt get that on your news stations. See when a country takes troops and goes into another country thats an invasion. So its already happened the only question left is will they go further or not.Im hoping Putin isnt that stupid the isolation of Russia is already starting and even he knows he cant go it alone. See the international community doesnt like it when you go inyo another country and claim their territory. So go troll somewhere else you've wasted enough of our time. Speaking of which back to updates.I was reading how NATO is now supporting Ukraine and apparently troop movements have started.

Oh and this is interesting it tells us the real reason Putin went into Ukraine instead of the false pretext he made up. At least Russias being honest for once. They finally admitted why the funny part is his invasion caused it to happen. Ukraines going to join the EU and NATO wow talk about a bone head move. Russia had so much influence in Ukraine he could have easily started assistance programs and made Russia look like a hero as they say you catch more flies with honey.

Oh the irony. Preaching about invasion. Didn't you say somewhere that you took a part in invasion of Iraq?
Ukraine is never going to join NATO
www.cnsnews.com...
In regards to joining EU, good look with that, there is more chance of Ukraine falling apart.

No-one denied that there were neo-Nazi groups on Maidan. Now it beginning to appear that the rumors that they were being paid to riot are true. They were being paid by Russia, hence the crackdown.
Right.....so the Russians hired these goons to overthrow their own puppet government and install a pro-western one......makes perfect sense...
No, they hired them to subvert the legitimate protests against their puppet government and provide a pretext to invade to "protect" the "ethnic Russian" population. Have you noticed how quickly the unmarked."self defense forces" formed , got equipped and deployed? The timing of the violence in Maidan escalated to.Putin's time table.
Edit to add: They were also tasked with maintaining disorder in order to discredit the interim government. That is why they are getting put down.edit on 1-4-2014 by DJW001 because: (no reason given)
Yeah its always bothered me how quickly Russia deployed troops. Look even during exercises it involved moving things by trains unloading at depots. It took them a couple of days just to start these exercises on the border but when it came to Crimea the troops popped out of no where. And thenext day 5000 more troops hit the ground. It definitely looks like it was preplanned.Which means your probably right Putin created the unrest and had the troops waiting. Makes sense use the political instability to take Crimea and possibly considered the rest of Ukraine. Im thinking he might have given up on that part but who knows.

guys!
about the "very fast deployment of unmarked soldiers": maybe it has something to do with the fact that they WERE ALREADY THERE as per agreement with Ukraine (in Crimea bases)
at first I was also surprised how fast they were deployed; we all know that it takes weeks to arrive from base to closest city...

Really and they regularly staffed allthose troops there? See the whole entire black sea fleet was 11000 men and thats in two bases and the one in Crimea isnt even the biggest. There was 8000 in Krasnodar Krai meaning there was only 3000 in Crimea and most of them were sailors. See sailors dont drive in armored personnel carriers do they? Within 2 days they already had close to 15000 men in Crimea eventual by the end of the week close to 40000. Hate to tell you but there base isnt that big. Also didnt carry army equipment. Nice try but obviously you're clueless as to the resources that were involved in that massive an operation. The reason they had so many men was Russia has a problem they dont have an effective way to transport tanks its allways been a problem for them thats why they lost in Afghanistan.See Americans learned along time ago how to airlift tanks made all the difference in afghanistan.Russia has never been able to do a massive deployment they dont have the capability they have to do it the old fashioned way trains and trolleys. And when you do that it takes weeks of planning.

The difference between disinformation agents and conspiracy theorists is that CT are able to see actions on both sides of the divide as manipulative, whereas disinformation agents view everything one sided.
Yes of course Russia has been shipping in protesters into Ukraine which isn't really a surprise. But who do you think shipped in the color revolution? That question wasn't directed towards you demus.

A few weeks earlier, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden and Republican Congressman Mo Brooks had a heated discussion on NASA's 2015 budget and the country's dependence on Russian spacecraft to send its astronauts to the International Space Station.
"Echoing sentiments made by several members of Congress at the hearing, the NASA chief added, 'I do not want to be reliant on the Russians to get my crews to the International Space Station,' " reported MSNBC.

Crimea joining Russia is NOT a problem. The reaction to this event is bordering on delusion and madness.
Crimea is a very small place. Many a countries have divided and regions have switched loyalties in the last 25 years. Nobody jumped up and down due to that.
