There are lots of problems with the current ballot in Crimea from the dressing of the polling stations to the questions on the ballot papers. I found this picture circulating today...

Questions being voted for:
1. Do you support unification with Russia as a subject of Russian Federation.
2. Do you support restoration of 1992 Crimean Republic constitution and status as part of Ukraine.
(Technicly also not part of Ukraine, as it becomes independent entity? With foreign army stationed there there's no doubt how things will progress)

This was posted on YT a couple of hours ago, in this report we see volunteers taking an oath to serve Crimea, receive some gear etc, and some information on how the troops of Ukraine will be treated in the event the Crimeans' vote to join the Russian federation and some developments at another base as well..

Currently pro Russian rallies on going on Kharkiv, Donetsk and Odessa, demanding referendum, federalisation, etc, some violent.

Also on TV, showing Russian armour moving towards border of Kharkiv, predicts an invasion of eastern Ukraine soon.

Hey guys when will the referendum results be out ? We all knw which way it will go . what will be interesting to see what russia does next .

Have you not seen the Russian army in Crimea and the peaceful protests of pro Ukraine marches being attacked and killed by plan close Russia soldiers? Funny how All pro Russia support is from Middle aged men and the pro Ukraine demos are full of men women and children

Crimean "government" plan in early April to switch to the ruble calculation system, including pensions.
This was on TV "TV Crimea" said self-proclaimed First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Temirhaliyev ARC, reported RIA Novosti .
"In early April, our Crimeans will receive a salary and a pension in Russian rubles, social payments in full in Russian rubles, according to new standards and the new system already," - said Temirhaliyev.
He also added that the term "government" hopes "to move to a system of mutual ruble."

well since you post opinion and not new here's mine

the vote to join russia is not over (or almost) 70% participation the result is in favor to join the Russia so it just a normal move to take the same monetary as the contry you join.

If you think the referendum was legal or not will not change anything to vote is done Crimea want to join Russia and the EU and USA will be upset but will not make anymove.

im not pro russia... exemple im a Canadian and im looking cautionly at USA and Russia claiming our northern region as their.

According to Ria Novosti, a Russian news agency, 93% of voters in Crimea have chosen to rejoin Russia. No surprise there really. I just wish the Ukrainian government pulled their socks up and tried to take Crimea back. It is legally theirs and the voters have been forced to vote with thousands upon thousands of Russian troops and pro-Russian gangs in their midst. The ballot was illegitimate.
