Actually, that is pretty much what will happen. Russia will be booted out of the G8, Europe will get its energy from America, countries will demand that Russian companies pay for goods in gold, and so forth.

Oh puhleeese, get back to reality mate.
I'm no expert on geopolitical events, but I do know that Russia is major world player, so you don't just 'booted' them from anything.

How is that physically possible? Crimea is a peninsula that is adjacent only to the rest of Ukraine.

Sources in Russia’s Defense Ministry say officials are considering discontinuing US inspections of national strategic nuclear missile forces, citing “lack of trust” as reason for the move. Inspections have been permitted by the latest START treaty.

Inspections of nuclear forces are the major instrument of the new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) signed by then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and US President Barack Obama in 2010, and in force since 2011.

Actually, what I was being glib about is that it doesn't matter what a T-64 is...thus the T Rex joke....I was implying that a conventional war is so useless to discuss let alone the names of the weapons used to fight one...It is the nukes...whether satelite based, planes, tanks, subs, suitcases...the point is...that is the only point...NUKES....who gives a rats tail about the delivery system or the name or the size...quantity sure matters I suppose...that was and is my point....any war involving the U.S. vs Russia focuses on only one thing......NUKES.

T64s are the Ukrainian main battle tank T80s and T90s are the newer versions of the Russian main battle tank... aka no war with the US was been discussed ( no nuclear war ) just a conventional war to liberate the Ukraine from Nazis

It's interesting to note that Vladimir Putin and David Cameron have had a telephone conversation today and Putin would like to find a diplomatic conclusion. Once again Putin is just playing war games and if he did believe this artificial problem could have been sorted out by diplomacy he would not have sent troops into Crimea. I think the flashpoint in this crisis will be on the day of the referendum in Crimea because Ukraine have already said it is illegal and they won't give up Crimea to anyone.

ON a side not India must be jumping with joy , Ukraine was India competitor for IT outsourcing and also a major competitor in wheat export , A destabilized Ukraine means $$ for India , and hence i believe you see India backing Russia ...

In other news, we see increased activity on airfields in Crimea. Russians troops from Ossetia and Chechnya are being bought in now.

This is very significant and signalls a further land invasion. But I cannot seam to find any other info from other sites.

Im confused who are the fascists calling Hillary Cinton and President Obama a fascist is funny actually apparently you have little understanding of what a fascist is because those two are more socialists.But the funny part is Russian nationalist throw out that Hitler stuff like an insult.
