We are sending (additional) rapid-response F-15s teams to Poland and Lithuania:

During the Georgia wars they still did not interfere with our land route to move materiel into and out of Afghanistan, which we are using currently to leave, what with our ally Pakistan being iffy. I wonder Russia they will close it just to enjoy watching us being stuck there longer? I wonder if we should have let them have it in the first place!

Politics and religion don't mix. Strength, the ability to unite, and the courage to not stand down when your beliefs are at stake are really what matters.

Talks with the Putin government are a waste of time as it's likely they will be swept out of power within the week if they don't act. Foreign intervention in Ukraine is the red line for the Russian armed forces and if Putin has cold feet he will simply be replaced. The military commanders know what is at stake and this is the moment the Russian military has spent decades planning for. Many knew this day would come.

So the russian government will be ousted SOON™, Putin will be ejected if he is not more "ballsy". Oh and this has been planned for decades...

Someone is in need of the early morning coffee methinks? Or, its important to read ANYTHING on the subject before posting?

Wait and see my friend wait and see. It's almost a theoretical impossibility the military won't act given the situation and nobody including Putin will be able to stop them from doing their duty. Russia didn't bankrupt itself building their military to watch the west and others slowly consume them. Ukraine is taking the game of risk one step too far.

BREAKING NEWS:European Union freezes assets of ousted Ukrainian President Yanukovych, his son and 16 other people

09:02: The US Congress is rushing to impose hard-hitting sanctions against Russia in response to its takeover of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula, hoping Europe will follow their lead, AP reports. It says that the American sanctions push represents a rare case of broad agreement among the Obama administration and Democrats and Republicans in both houses of Congress. But they are also united in their concern that American economic penalties will mean little without the participation of European countries with far deeper commercial relations with Russia.

Lol sure xD

Some conflicting news again
09:20: Kiev-based channel One Plus One TV reports that 12 Ukrainian coast guard ships have broken the Russian blockade of the eastern Crimean port of Kerch. The head of the coast guards tells the channel that if they had not moved the ships from Kerch, it is likely that they would have been destroyed (BBC Monitoring).

So these 12 ships where inside the "blockade" but they crossed the "blockade" or else they would have been destroyed? So would you call it a blockade then?

info from many sources both official from Ukraine and non-official from forums, blogs of the locals. Naturally, the information on the Russian and Ukrainian languages. English sources do not. There are candid "stuffing information", ie sources like misinformation.

Sounds like more BS right?

I mean, no ships have been destroyed yet, so why all of a sudden would Russia destroy ships for no reason?

the BS is strong with this one!

Again call for objectivity. Do not use the only sources of information relevant a priori only anti-Russian orientation . We have seen how fiercely Tymoshenko Yatsenyuk Yarosh and the company promoted the shooting of peaceful demonstrators in Kiev on the orders of Yanukovych. And what information pops up now? It is quite possible the shooting is performed with the purpose of provoking opposition snipers . And knows about the European Union and the U.S. State Department . And they sponsor these people. One of them in the open calls for terror. English-speaking members of the forum is hard to understand the current situation , but the most objectively it is illuminated on the local forums and blogs.
