Hey guys, how is everyone today? Any one meteor shower watch last night? Passing through the debris from Halley's comet. So difficult to wrap my mind around hurtling through space at 29.8km/sec. Not to mention the whole spinning thing. Feels just like standing still to me. lol

No, not last night, but it will last for a few more nights. They say viewing is best just before dawn here in the midwest USA. I usually go out for the Perseid meteor shower in August. Dust from comet Swift-Tuttle. I lived for a year at 8,000 ft, and all the meteor showers were spectacular. No light pollution, felt like you could reach out and touch the stars.

I have not used that medium for many moons !

Chippies get that too !

Locky by trade now. Non practicing ; except for the odd neighbour suffering key loss ...

You should talk to Truebrit mate he's a locky as well
I'm not a sprayer by trade, just the only guy at work
with the knowledge and skill and stupid enough to do it

My boots look like Joseph's technicolour dream coat !

Currently a nice shade of pink but turning black.

Should be yellow by the end of the week LOL

Yes it was. It was my all time favorite place to live, but it was really hard. Wood heat, cold, 45 min to drive 7 miles because of hairpin turns and a road so narrow both vehicles had to stop in order to ease past each other. lol Still it was quiet, private and beautiful. Worth it. I am so glad I had that experience.

Do you have a favorite place you have lived?

Anyone else want to chime in with a favorite place?

that sounds scary driving on roads like that lol! but still I would love to live like that, i cant even begin to imagine how awesome it is to have somewhere nice quiet, private and away from everything to live! isn't there supposed to be health benefits to living at high altitudes aswell? although i heard there are a few risks too but more benefits.

I have only lived in built up areas near the city in the past 10 years i hate it !! so many people crammed in one area and they just open up more and more land so they can put even more people in here. I used to live right on the coast, a street away from the beach when i was younger and that was probably my favourite place to live
it was so nice listening to the beach at night to go to sleep, would love to live that close to the beach again the airs so much fresher aswell.

Oh that sounds awesome. I hope that dream comes true for you. The ocean is wonderful.

I live on a busy street and it really gets on my nerves hearing the traffic all the time. So I understand about the stress of people.

Thankyou! Maybe one day, i make myself feel better about living away from the beach by thinking that if there was a tsunami im pretty much in the hills so we would be all good lol.

Yeah same here! and i can hear everything from in my house with its paper thin structure lol and theres a train line not far too, kind of blows!

A street away from the beach? Sounds like heaven! I dreamed my whole life of living near the ocean. I know that dream will never come true though.
Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about evacuating in really severe storms.
